Overlays

Overlay systems offer an alternative to the complete replacement of existing flat roofs. The principal advantage of this is to minimise disruption and, in the majority of cases, keep the building fully operational during the refurbishment.

Most common roof coverings can be overlaid but care should be taken to ensure that the existing underlying substrate is sound and of reasonable quality.

Elastex Overlay System

Elastex is a BBA approved, highly flexible single pack reinforced overlay system that is ideal for refurbishments as it can be applied virtually all year round to practically all roof surfaces.

It is effective on complex areas such as valley gutters, extraction units, coping stones and parapet walls. Because there is no stripping of the old roof, Elastex is ideal for projects that require a fast solution with minimum disruption.

Protec Overlay System

Protec is a cost-effective, fast curing and highly durable reinforced single resin polyester overlay system that is ideal for a range of applications including new roofs, extending the life of existing roofs, providing durable anti-slip surfaces for balconies and walkways and for rehabilitating gutters.

It is effective for a wide range of complex details and can also be applied directly to specialised insulation for quick, simple and cost effective thermal upgrades.

Roofcoat Plus Overlay System

Roofcoat Plus is a versatile acrylic overlay system suitable for the over-coating of most sheeted substrates including asbestos and plastisol coated metals. It provides a totally waterproof, seamless membrane.
