The deck onto which the Polyroof 185 system is applied should be a solid structure to which a positive mechanical fixing can be made such as,

• Timber (Satisfying relevant BS preservative treatment requirements
• Metal decking (complying with metal decking design code)
• Concrete in-situ or pre-cast

Refurbishment

In refurbishment using the Polyroof 185 System, the old roof needs to be stripped to a sound structure of good order to take a positive mechanical fixing i.e. to joists, concrete or metal deck. Polyroof 185 is always applied to a quality Polyroof approved plywood in accordance with BS 5268.

Polyroof overlay systems such as Elastex and Protec are ideal for refurbishment where the old roof substrate is structurally sound and unaffected by problems such as condensation. They can be applied quickly with minimum surface preparation and disruption.
